Why is the AquaScan giving a reading of “ERR”?
Each reading on the AquaScan has a minimum and maximum range, if the reading goes under or over this, an “ERR” result will appear for the appropriate reading which shows that the reading has fallen out of the parameters of the unit.
The minimum and maximum range for each reading is as follows:
Pressure: 0 – 10 bar
Flow: 0 – 30 lpm
TDS: 0 – 1000 ppm
Temperature: 0 – 85 degrees
For example, the AquaScan temperature range is between 0 – 85 degrees and the device does not show minus readings. If when testing water temperature you receive a reading of “ERR”, this means the temperature is either too cold or too warm for the AquaScan to read. If this happens and you are concerned the “ERR” reading is a sign your AquaScan is not working properly, test it on a different outlet that would have a warmer or colder water temperature to the outlet you are testing, such as an inside tap instead of an outside tap.
